Hurricane Lala brought damaging winds, flooding, and widespread power outages to Hawaiʻi Island, Maui, and Oʻahu, leaving families across the islands to navigate the days after in shelters, without electricity, or repairing what the storm left behind. Hawaiʻi Island's Kaʻū district, hit hardest by flooding and infrastructure damage, continues to need extra support as recovery gets underway. Because of donors like you, The Salvation Army Hawaiian & Pacific Islands Division Emergency Disaster Services was ready to respond, providing meals, essential supplies, and emotional and spiritual care to those facing crisis.
